Blue Bottle Coffee — San Francisco, CA

Commercial cafe build-out for Blue Bottle Coffee in San Francisco, a restaurant tenant improvement documented from active construction through the finished interior. The space is organised around a single curved service counter: fluted white-oak cladding wraps the counter base and continues overhead as a matching curved soffit, with a stone counter top, open oak shelving on white walls, pendant lighting and a glass pastry case. Blue Bottle's bagged coffee is displayed on tiered shelves cut into the front of the counter.

Wilson General Contracting built the interior around that counter. The construction photograph shows the stage before finishes: the curved soffit framed in metal stud, overhead ductwork run above it, and the storefront glazing already in place, with the crew working from a scissor lift inside the shell. Wilson self-performs framing, drywall and plaster, electrical and plumbing, which is what makes a curved, finish-critical element like this one practical to build and keep on schedule.
